The rules of this court.

These Terms govern use of the Friend Group Court website, web app, and iOS app. By using the service, you agree to them.

Operator and eligibility

Friend Group Court is operated by Strong & Co. You must be at least 13 to use the service. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who can agree to these Terms.

Permitted use

Use the service only for private, harmless, joke-level disagreements among people who understand the context. Do not use it for real crimes, abuse, threats, harassment, bullying, hate, sexual content, stalking, doxxing, emergencies, medical or mental-health matters, employment decisions, legal disputes, or allegations involving minors.

Do not impersonate another person, reveal private information without permission, manipulate voting, bypass limits or access controls, probe other people’s cases, interfere with the service, or use automated systems to scrape, spam, or overload it.

Your content and private links

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give us a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and display it only as needed to provide, secure, moderate, and improve the service and comply with law.

Cases are unlisted rather than publicly discoverable. A private link is still a bearer link: recipients may copy or forward it. Do not include secrets, sensitive personal data, real allegations, or anything you are not authorized to share.

Voting and verdicts

Ballots are anonymous to other participants but use pseudonymous account identifiers to enforce integrity. We may reject duplicate, automated, manipulated, or abusive activity. Verdict language is entertainment generated from the submitted case and aggregate tally. It has no legal, factual, professional, or binding authority.

Safety, reports, and moderation

We may reject, hide, close, restrict, preserve, or remove content or access when needed for safety, platform policy, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or service integrity. Users can report cases and advertisements. Reports do not guarantee a particular outcome. Good-faith safety actions do not make us responsible for user content we did not create.

Docket Deluxe

Docket Deluxe is a one-time digital purchase offered through Apple’s in-app purchase system. The localized App Store price controls. Benefits are cosmetic or convenience-oriented, including an ad-free creator docket and deluxe presentation features. Payment never changes voting weight, tally, fairness, reporting, moderation, privacy, or the verdict.

Purchases, billing, family controls, taxes, refunds, and payment disputes are handled under Apple’s terms and applicable law. Restore Purchases is available in the iOS app. Access may be revoked after a refund, chargeback, store reversal, fraud finding, or loss of the underlying App Store entitlement.

Free-tier advertising

Eligible adult Free-tier creators may see a limited, non-personalized banner on the Home docket. Ads are not placed in active cases, voting, verdicts, invitations, reporting, safety, purchase, restore, or legal flows. Teens, unknown-age users, jurors, and Docket Deluxe users are ad-free under the launch configuration.

Third-party services

The service depends on providers such as Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, Google, Cloudflare, and GitHub. Their services may be unavailable or governed by separate terms. We are not responsible for third-party content, stores, payments, or outages beyond what applicable law requires.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features; impose reasonable limits; and conduct staged rollouts. We will try to avoid taking away paid access without a valid operational, legal, security, or platform reason, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of accuracy, fitness, non-infringement, availability, or suitability for deciding any real dispute. You are responsible for your content, sharing choices, conduct, and real-world decisions.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Strong & Co. and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, reputational harm, or decisions made from entertainment verdicts. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Ending use and disputes

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict access for material or repeated violations. Before starting a formal dispute, please submit the issue through Support so both sides can attempt a practical resolution. Applicable consumer protections remain in force.

Changes and contact

Updated Terms will display a new date and, for material changes, appropriate notice. Questions can be submitted through Support.
