Private by design, explained plainly.
Friend Group Court is a private, unlisted courtroom game for harmless disputes. This policy explains the information used to run the web and iOS services.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Short version: cases are not placed in a public feed; we do not use private case text to target ads; launch ads are limited to eligible adults; Docket Deluxe is ad-free.
Who operates the service
Friend Group Court is operated by Strong & Co. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” mean the Friend Group Court service and its operator. Privacy and support requests can be submitted through our Support page.
Who may use it
The service is intended for people age 13 and older. We do not ask for or store an exact birthdate. A coarse age range may be stored only on the user’s device to control advertising and purchase prompts. If we learn that a user is under 13, advertising and purchase promotion are suppressed and we may remove associated information.
Information we process
Account and device identity
We use a pseudonymous Supabase account identifier so an installation can keep its docket, enforce one ballot per case, restore access, and apply security rules. A user does not need to provide a public profile, real name, phone number, or social account.
Private case content
Case titles, both sides of a dispute, optional evidence, remedy suggestions, private share tokens, aggregate tallies, verdicts, reports, and moderation state are processed to provide the service. Case links are unlisted, but anyone who receives a link may be able to open it; filers are responsible for sharing carefully.
Individual ballots are associated with a pseudonymous account for integrity, but are not displayed to other users. Courtroom views expose aggregate counts rather than voter identity.
Purchases
On iOS, Apple processes payment for the one-time Docket Deluxe purchase. RevenueCat helps verify entitlement, restoration, refund, and revocation status. We may receive pseudonymous customer and transaction identifiers, product, localized price/currency, and entitlement state. We do not receive complete payment-card details.
Advertising and consent
Eligible adult Free-tier creators may receive a limited, non-personalized Google AdMob banner on their Home docket after completing a case. Teens, under-13 users, users who decline or do not provide an age range, jurors, and Docket Deluxe users receive no launch ad request.
Google’s Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform SDKs may process IP-derived location, device or advertising identifiers, consent choices, diagnostics, ad interactions, and fraud-prevention signals. We do not send case text, evidence, party names, invitations, votes, verdicts, report details, dispute categories, or private share links to Google for advertising. The launch configuration does not request Apple tracking permission or use private content for cross-company tracking.
Support, safety, and technical data
If you contact Support, we process the topic, message, and optional email address you provide. Service providers may also process limited request, security, crash, and diagnostic information needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
How we use information
- Provide private cases, invitations, ballots, aggregate tallies, verdicts, purchase restoration, and support.
- Prevent duplicate voting, abuse, fraud, unsafe content, and unauthorized access.
- Investigate reports, apply moderation decisions, and maintain an audit trail.
- Operate contextual or limited adult advertising without using private case content.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, refund, and platform obligations.
Service providers and disclosures
We use providers only as needed to run the service, including Supabase for cloud data and authentication, Apple for iOS distribution and payment, RevenueCat for entitlement verification, Google AdMob/UMP for eligible-adult advertising and consent, Cloudflare for public-site delivery, and GitHub for deployment source. Provider use is governed by their own terms and privacy commitments.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, in a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards, or with the user’s direction. We do not sell private case content. We do not use it for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
Case information is retained while needed to provide the creator’s docket, resolve reports, and meet security or legal obligations. Support messages are normally retained until resolved and for a limited follow-up period. Purchase and accounting records may be retained for legally required periods. Moderation evidence may be retained where needed to prevent abuse.
Creators can request deletion or exercise privacy rights through Support. We may retain narrow records when required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, transaction accounting, or safety enforcement.
Your choices and rights
- Change the coarse on-device age/ad setting without losing core access.
- Open Advertising Privacy Choices where required.
- Purchase Docket Deluxe to remove creator-docket advertising.
- Report a case or advertisement through the in-app controls.
- Request access, correction, deletion, or information about our processing through Support, subject to identity and legal verification.
Security and international processing
We use access controls, row-level database security, unlisted tokens, encryption in transit, provider secrets, bounded inputs, and operational monitoring. No system is perfectly secure. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will receive an updated date and, where appropriate, in-product notice. Submit privacy questions through Support.
